I love this litter box! I have only owned plastic ones and I decided to give this one a try and I do think it hasn’t absorbed smells like the plastic ones. I really love how the entrance has an ease of access opening in the front so it is easy to access to clean. I’ve had others in the past that require me to remove the entire top and it is not impossible but not as convenient.I have two cats who are 8 pounds and 11 pounds and this litter box is nice and roomy for them. This litter box comes with a scooper which is fine. It is a plastic one with a wooden handle but I much prefer my large metal scooper. I do wish the scooper holder had a larger slot to fit my personal scooper but it’s nice that it comes with one and has a slot specially made for it. Honestly, all the litter boxes I’ve purchased did not come with one and it does not hurt to have a backup.It also comes with a little litter catcher by the entrance which does catch a good amount of litter but my cats are so messy I have to have another large litter mat but it does help because I do see that it has caught a significant amount of litter.The one design aspect I don’t exactly understand is the hole on top. I’m not sure if it is an entrance for the cats to enter through or if it is so I can look over top really quick to see if a clean is needed immediately but it also doesn’t bother me. None of my other litter boxes have that though but I opted for this one because I like that it is covered offering them privacy. My cats do not cover their business as they should and I do not like to see that because I can’t clean after every single use but I do use the hole on top to assess the situation inside. Overall, it’s pricier than other litter boxes but it comes with accessories and I do prefer this stainless steel base. I plan to replace my second litter box with another stainless steel one soon.
